4G SIM Activation Kit lets you bring your own 4G phone and activate on Verizon Wireless. Insert the SIM Card in your phone and Activate on our low cost 4G No. Thanks for the fast responses.- got the answer. FYI 700Mhz (Telstra $G network). Interesting that Australia seems to actually be a bit in front of the game with this (extended range etc) compared to most other countries. Strange about Aldi., I've been with Aldi for a couple of years and get much faster response to customer service enquiries that any of my previous providers (including iiNet and telstra. Combined with no flag fall and 12c a minute and 365 day credit expiry makes for a great Pre-Paid deal. Went pre-paid when my phone got taken and there was a charge of over $700 on my account. Guess I've just been lucky with Aldi. As for the Chinese phone, have a Samsung currently but used a series of Huawei models previously (wife still does) and had no trouble at all. Currently looking at Xaomi - they appear to have 3 phones in the top ten at the moment. Features make it worth the risk - eyes open!! When you receive your Aldi Mobile sim card you can go online to activate it at This gives you the option of keeping your existing Australian mobile number. ![]() I think you can also do this by phoning a contact number shown in the sim pack: have all your details ready e.g. Your current provider, current number, sim pack activation code. The changeover process may take a day or two depending on who your current Telcom is and if it's a weekend. You'll know it's happened when you can no longer make phone calls with your own sim card. That's a cue to put in your new one. You should also get a confirmation sms or/and email from Aldi Mobile. NB You'll loose any existing credit with Virgin, so plan the changeover close to the end of your current plan period. Hi we have been using aldi mobile for years just auto renewing a value pack every month. We have always had iPhones and Macs and have an iCloud account and have had no issues. But we just bought an android phone and want to hook up the phone to our iCloud, so we can get emails. We've followed all the instructions on various forums to do this, but just cannot get it to work. Every forum we have read says it is easy to do. We phoned Aldi, but the overseas?? Call centre didn't seem to know what we were talking about. Can anyone help? Emmz, further to your answer for which I thank you, we had many calls to Aldimobile and three new sims. We finally contacted Apple, who after many tests on the iphone suggested we contact Telstra. Rang Telstra, and were lucky to get a service person who was very patient and knowledgable. The said the phone was unblocked BUT. Still locked on the Telstra network. The unlocking on the network could take from 10 hrs upwards, but as she know the procedure she would do it for us. So thank goodness phone is working now. ![]() It's been 3 harrowing days. Not easy for those over 70!! Thank you everyone.
