I downloaded mods from both the Nexus and Steam, got SKSE and BOSS and TES5Edit, and reinstalled everything. I cleaned up all the dirty edits and such with TES5 Edit and set the proper load order with BOSS and am running the newest version of SKSE. At first I had no problems. But starting yesterday, whenever I draw an arrow it doesn't stay pointed at the cursor. Okay, as far as the aiming is concerned, I found something weird. I was getting the bug when using steel arrows, but I found some elven, glass, dwarven and a couple ebony arrows to test it with and none of those gave me the same problem. I'll try deleting the INI files though to see if I can get steel to work. (I did try out the Joy of Perspective mod and it might be left over) For the Carriage, I know I'm not using tgm, and I tried taking off all the stuff that would over-encumber me (I had backpack and enchanted items) but still no go. I will go back and try dropping everything but my clothes off and see if it will work then though. Thank you for the help! Okay, update. Deleting the INI files seems to have fixed the first problem. The second problem still persists and I've realized it's spread further than the carriages. ![]() ![]() Whenever I'm prompted by beggars to give them money, when I choose 'have a gold coin' it stays on that screen and never subtracts the gold from my inventory, and I don't get the gift of charity buff. In addition, I just tried to do the Helm of Winterhold quest, and it won't let me give the Jarl the helmet. I have it, and it gives me the option to, and he thanks me, but the helmet never leaves my inventory and the quest stays active, and I can't progress in dialog (can only TAB out of the conversation and start it over) • • • • •. Glad the first problem was fixed! I'm noticing some similarities between the carriage and beggar glitch, and the quest glitch: it seems the console is having trouble removing items from your inventory, which prevents the script from moving forward. If it's important to you that you finish the Helm of Winterhold quest as soon as possible, you can complete it using the console commands. Once in game, open the console by pressing the tilde ( `) key, then type the following: setstage Favor158 20 and press enter. This should finish the quest and remove the helmet. If the helmet is still in your inventory, type player.removeitem 940d5 1 and press enter. For a long-term fix: I haven't been able to find any similar problems online, so I'm guessing it's an issue with a mod or mod conflict, and not with the game itself. I don't recognize some of the mods from their.esp names, so your best bet is to sift through them and look for mods that affect your inventory in some way. Looks like you've got some trial-and-error ahead of you.:S • • • • •. Requires Game version 1 Activate sap spigot. 32+ If you want to know what this mod does. Activate sap spigot skyrim. So I went into NMM and disabled all active plugins, then loaded up SKSE and talked to the jarl of Winterhold immediately, and he still wouldn't take the helmet. The weird thing is, I can't give him the helmet, or gold to the beggars or gold to the carriage driver, but I did complete a burglary quest for the Thieves Guild and Vex took out the item I stole. I don't know what's going on here D: Edit: Also just tried to do Under Saarthal, and I can't activate the amulet. I tried turning off all plugins again, but it won't like me click it. Usually I'm good at figuring this stuff out, but I feel like I'm at the end of my rope. Hmm.not sure what to tell you at this point. Sometimes, if a mod has been improperly uninstalled or disabled (some require a process that usually involves saving and reloading, or in-game disabling), it can leave a script behind that will go 'wonky.' It's also possible, since you deleted your.ini files after you'd installed the mods, that you'd deleted some lines of script that another mod had installed. If you feel there's no other alternative, I have one more suggestion. Go into your Skyrim's Data folder (on Windows 7, it's ProgramFilesx86>Steam>steamapps>common>Skyrim>Data) and do it manually: remove all but the default files (you can move them onto a folder on your desktop if you're hesitant to delete them). Delete your.ini files again. Start up the game, save, exit the game, then reload and save again. If your saved game is still working, then see if the glitch remains using the vanilla Skyrim. If it does, then its probably Bethesda's fault and you're pretty much relegated to either starting a new character, or using the console to complete some quests.
