Vodafone offers two international roaming options, Traveller and World, each with different pricing structures. Choose the roaming option which suits your country of travel. Dominique Rousseau Dominique was appointed CEO of Vodafone Roaming Services and member of the company’s Board in 2012. In addition, he is responsible for the supplier strategy and commercial relationships within Vodafone’s Global Products and Services business. He joined Vodafone in 2006 to lead the network procurement across all local markets. As its COO, Dominique also established Vodafone’s procurement company as the single point of purchase. If you do not receive any network whilst roaming or you receive fluctuating network bars, in that case you can select the network manually. The manual settings option can be found in the handset menu in SETTINGS – NETWORK SETTINGS • Will I be able to access GPRS service whilst National roaming? Yes, you will be able to access the GPRS (Data Services) whilst roaming; however your data service needs to be active for the same. We suggest that you confirm whether the service is active by getting in touch with our frontline team. Continue to enjoy Data as per your home rates / Data pack • Will I be able to use Roaming services in Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, North East, Andaman & Nicobar Islands AND Lakshadweep Islands? The following services are available on International Roaming: In the handset menu, go to call forwarding and activate • Unconditional Call Forwarding All Incoming calls to your number are forwarded to a number 'B'. This number B can be your Voice Mail Number or any other number of your circle. When you are on Roaming and you have set-up Unconditional Call Forwarding to a number 'B', all your incoming calls will be forwarded to 'B'. Roaming Charges will not apply and you will be charged for a Local Outgoing Call to 'B', according to your existing home plan. • Conditional Call Forwarding – Busy All Incoming calls to your number are forwarded to a number 'B' when your phone is BUSY. This number B can be your Voice Mail Number or any other valid number of your circle. When you are on Roaming and you have set-up Conditional Call Forwarding – BUSY to a number 'B', all your incoming calls will be forwarded to 'B' if your phone is busy. Roaming Charges will APPLY. You will be charged for two calls according to your location – (a) Roaming Incoming Call to your number and (b) Roaming Outgoing Call to the 'B' number. • How can I track my data usage whilst roaming internationally? Reset the usage tracker to zero– When you reach overseas, smart phone users access the usage tracker in the general settings menu and select reset statistics. PDP is Packet Data Protocol • When you want to use GPRS, your mobile will first attach to a GPRS enabled network in the country you are roaming and then your mobile will automatically activate a 'PDP context'. PDP context is essential for the visited network to authenticate you as a valid GPRS user. Roaming Busy Message Profile Set up a Busy Message profile to inform callers that you are on roaming. Call 567678 and choose from our list of prerecorded Busy Messages or Record your own personalized Busy Message.
