I'm new to Rock Band (played Guitar Hero a fair bit though), and I'm having trouble activating star power consistently using vocals. My screaming is apparently not loud enough or something. The player can activate 'Star Power' by pressing. Starting with Guitar Hero: World Tour, more Star Power can be. Use their Guitar Hero guitar. Mar 30, 2012. EditGuitar Hero World Tour Star Power. If you've ever played Guitar Hero before, you're familiar with 'Star Power' (AKA 'SP'). Once you've hit enough star-shaped gems, you'll be notified that your Star Power's ready. Activate it and you'll increase your score multiplier, plus your Rock Meter will get a boost. I seem to have to whack the mic against the furniture (or my Wiimote) to get it to detect me trying to activate it, and even then it doesn't always work. In Guitar Hero, I can press a button to activate it, but that's apparently not the case in Rock Band. Anyone have any bright ideas for a more foolproof method? No guys something is wrong with her set up or something I have this same prob and none of you are having this issue. I am electronic savy and understand how the game works as I have played it on other systems that work. I to haven't resolved this. No amount of screaming, humming, blowing or tapping allows you to access the vocal star power until the last note hits. The words work fine and everything else does just cant access star power. Anyone with some help on this issue would be appreciated. This is on the Nintendo Wii rockband 3 version btw – user12435 Sep 14 '11 at 1:54 1. Activision today announced a new game in the popular Guitar Hero series, called Guitar Hero Live. Developed by FreeStyle Games, Guitar Hero Live is a completely different take on the popular franchise. Instead of the traditional view of your character shredding those wicked licks, the game is taking a first-person, full-motion video approach. The crowd and the band members will react to how you are playing. So if you just can’t hit those notes, Guitar Hero Live will let you know. There is even a function that will allow you to switch between the pre-recorded FMVs to actual streaming video of people watching you play with Guitar Hero TV. Check out the announcement trailer. On top of all that, the game play has been altered, slightly. Instead of the colorful six button layout from Hero’s past, there are six black and white buttons this time around, with the three black buttons on top and the three white buttons on the bottom. Unfortunately, due to the change in gameplay mechanics, the older Guitar Hero DLC and hardware won’t work for the series’ return to the stage. Guitar Hero Live is set for a Fall 2015 release for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the Wii U. There is also talk of a mobile version, but nothing on that yet.
